ARGUE THIS

Syllogism is a type of logical reasoning in which a conclusion is formed by two linked premises

If people of color make fun or judge others based on their ethnicity it's considered "racist". To be racist is to be able to oppress another group of people. Therefore people of color cannot be racist because people of color have historically never been able to oppress other people like how white people have.

NOTES FROM TODAY'S LECTURE

  • write in way that shows that you care about what your topic is about instead of making it sound like your being forced to write about it.
  • when we talk about logic we talk about reason and all the time you put into it.
  • ETHOS - Credibility
MLK convinces the audience that it is the time to finally get justice for his people of color ( specifically black people)

  • PATHOS

TODAY I INTERVIEWED AN EXPERT

notes:
Today I interviewed an expert Correy Doctorow who is a technology activist. Before the interview I was quite nervous because I have never met this person before and it was intimidating. Although i wasn't able to ask the questions that I really wanted to I was still able to learn many things from him. I am happy that I was able to learn a lot from just this one interview. Something that Correy talked about was how much memory we have and how 64 g is about 1/24000 of our memory.

RHETORICAL STRATEGIES PART I

Ethos: " The author,  Johannes is a philosopher who works with in ' Stanford's Center for Automatic Research'"

Pathos: is to convince an audience through their emotions.

Logos: logic; logic appeal
Being able to persuade an audience with facts and figures

Kairos: to create the perfect timing to deliver a specific message.
